Please be informed that the processing of a VAL application takes 14 working days from the date we receive the complete application documents and payment from the institution. However, the approval to issue the VAL is solely at the discretion of the Immigration Department.

Why are Bangladeshi students not allowed for the Graduate Pass? Given the high percentage of Bangladeshi students, this exclusion is significant. Allowing Indian students while excluding Bangladeshi students is clear discrimination. This policy needs to be reconsidered to ensure fairness and equal opportunities for all students.

I would like to express my concern about the lack of a graduation pass for Bangladeshi students in Malaysia. Despite paying the same fees as students from 23 other countries, we are not granted the same opportunity to explore and experience the country post-graduation. Many other countries provide this option to their students, allowing them to broaden their horizons, gain valuable experience, and better understand the local culture.
It feels unfair that we are excluded from this benefit, especially when we contribute equally to the economy and educational system. I sincerely hope EMGS will consider revising this policy to provide Bangladeshi students with the same opportunities as others.

Kindly be informed that your passport has been submitted to the Immigration Department for Student Pass sticker endorsement. The issuance of a Student Pass will take approximately 14 working days from the day we receive the passport. Based on our records, we received your passport on the 17th of April 2024.
Kindly do not compare the application progress as the Student Pass approval is solely at the discretion of the Immigration Department of Malaysia. Please allow the Immigration Department time to process your application. We assure you that we will notify your institution once we receive an update on your passport.

Kindly be informed that the existing international students who have been issued a student pass are not required to complete the MDAC if they exit and re-enter the country while their student pass is still active.
