Please note that if the Student Pass expired during the movement control order (MCO) you can still exit without applying for a Special Pass. However, you are required to be holding a valid passport. They said that I’d be able to go back only when the international flights resume, which would mostly be end of July or August. So would I still be able to stay for that long without applying for anything? So I just collect my passport and wait for a flight to be available? Even if it’s gonna take a couple more months?

Also is there any way I can leave Malaysia with a cancelled visa after applying for the special pass since I might be pursuing Phd here and I don’t want any conflicts in the future, which is the very exact reason I applied for cancellation in the first place. Otherwise, I’d have been in my country right now and not stuck in the movement…[Read more]

Hi,
My passport is with the immigration for visa cancellation. The visa is expiring on 3rd of April, and since they cannot process it until 14th of April, the visa will be then expired and I’d need to apply for a special pass on 15th as advised. Now Can I book my returning flight on 8th of May or would the special pass be issued to 2nd of May ?…[Read more]-

We are unable to confirm when the passport will be released as the processing of applications is currently suspended. Any update with regards to the processing of applications will be sent to the institutions. Kindly refer to your institution for further details.

I tried contacting them already but even they don’t seem to know what to do at the moment and they told me to apply for a special pass on first of April. But I’m not sure if I’d be able to given the fact that I’ve applied for cancellation..

Kindly note that your passport with the Special Pass is ready for collection since the 4th of September. We advise that you liaise with your institution and request that they assign an authorized representative to collect the passport.
