As long as your VAL was approved AFTER 15th October you should be able to download it almost immediately (I’m waiting for someone to confirm this timing for me). If it was approved before that then you have to get it from your uni

Check your application tracker. The “Application Issues” should show you what additional documents EMGS is asking for

From what I understand, if your VAL is already approved then you don’t wait until 15th. You get the physical VAL – so wait for your Uni to send to you before you come to Malaysia

Bro, I’m not arguing about how long you’ve been waiting for your uni to finish their internal processing like what you said in your first post (It’s happened to all of us) I’m just saying Immigration doesn’t take 2 MONTHS just to process a special pass. Your uni is the one who told you 2 months- did you check with Immigration?

It takes a while before you can track the application. Maybe a day at least. Also today is weekend. Check Monday

You need to apply for the Single entry visa from Malaysian embassy in Nigeria. I know you’ll need your VAL and passport but not sure what else aside from that – maybe someone from Nigeria can help. Or you could call the embassy and ask them

Special Pass doesn’t take 2 months. 2-4 days maximum. Think about it: Why would Immigration keep you waiting for a special pass for the same amount of time it would take to give you a new student pass?

I strongly suspect that you’ve applied to a public university. They have different processes from private unis so the percentage moves to 80% before you come into Malaysia. Nothing to worry about, just wait for your VAL and come in to Malaysia after you get SEV from the Malaysian Embassy (if you need it)

The IELTS doesn’t affect your VAL application (Your VAL is already approved and they’ll send it t you once they collect it from EMGS). It’s required for your University. So go and do the IELTS like the Uni asked. Submit to IIUM as soon as you get the results.

The online photo checker has an option to turn the background white. Do that and then submit the photo to EMGS. If that was the only thing wrong that they’re concerned about then it should be fixed, right?

FYI, EMGS doesn’t work on the weekends (Saturday and Sunday). You should count the “Working days” (Monday to Friday).. So if your application was received on Friday, it’s more like 1 day

If you pass the medical, they’ll ask for your passport to get the sticker (Student Pass from Immigration). Then you can start studying.
