When your application is successful, you will get a notice that VAL has been approved by the Immigration. Then after a day or two you can download the eVAL from the application tracker on the website

If Immigration has rejected your VAL then you’re probably wasting time if you apply again without finding out the reason why your application was rejected in the first place… Call EMGS or check with your University to find out

Use the application tracker on the EMGS website. If VAL is issued, you will see the download link

Bear in mind 100% only happens when you have completed the Medical screening in Malaysia and your Student Pass is placed in your passport.

You are typically supposed to be in Malaysia by the time your application is at 40-50% because that’s right after when VAL is issued

The uni classes will usually not start next first day ( Registration, Enrollment for classes etc) so don’t worry too much about it. I will recommend that you contact your school and see if they have any assistance/advise for you. You can also check if there’s an international student office in the uni which can advise you about the process.

You can’t. Only through the website or through your uni

You can only make payment through the website (using credit card) if you apply through the website. Otherwise you’ll need to pay through your uni

Your VAL is approved. Everything which is pending is supposed to happen AFTER you come to Malaysia.
So download your eVAL, get your SEV, and come to Malaysia

Probably means there’s no application yet in EMGS system. Did you apply by yourself on the website or through your uni?

Have you checked the application tracker on the website? If VAL approved you can just go and download it by yourself

Check the application issues. If you’re at 80% then they’re probably waiting for your passport. Are you already in Malaysia, bro?

You can scan the pages into PDF and email to EMGS directly. If that’s the only reason for the rejection then it won’t take too long to get your application back on track

Now EMGS sends your passport to Immigration for the student pass sticker (assuming you’ve done all the medical check). Next, you just have to go ahead with your life/classes etc and wait for Immigration. You’ll get a notification when it’s ready for collection

Contact EMGS and give them your passport number and Country. They should be able to advise you about the application

It means your University hasn’t paid the application fees to EMGS. Check with your uni

Do you see that black bar at the bottom which says “Tap here to view the application issues”?… Yeah, tap it

Congratulations! It means that you have to come to Malaysia now. Download the eVAL and book your ticket etc.. Once you are here you will have to send a photocopy of your passport showing the entry stamp (Date of entry showing that you have not overstayed the duration you received when you arrived). Makes sense?

That doesn’t sound like a reason to reject your application (unless you’re so sick that you’re dying 😨…) Try emailing or calling EMGS and your University to get a better picture of why your application was rejected.

It probably means that your uni appealed the rejection so now the process is continuing like Usama said ☝️
