Dear EMGS staff,
I would like to know after submitting the final draft of the thesis, should cancel the visa or can stay until the visa will be expired? Or after graduation ceremony

Hi,

Kindly be informed that the student is required to have a valid pass throughout the study or stay in Malaysia. Upon the completion of the study, the student is required to liaise with the Institution for the cancellation of the student pass before returning to the home country.

Dear EMGS staff,
I would like to know under this situation, can I submit the passport? Or should I wait until 27th Oct? The visa will expire in 20.11.2020

Hi Hevtal,

You can submit the passport to your institution. The institution will proceed to submit the passport for the endorsement of your Dependent Pass.

I really shocked today, when I received my kids passport and they renew the visa for only 3 months. When I asked they said because their insurance will be expired in Feb. Dear EMGS,
I submitted my dependent documents for renew visa and having special pass from 6 Sep 2019.
Until now still the status asks institution to submit a valid Special pass.
The dependent pass was expired in 20 Sep 2019.
I asked my university several time, but still no change and it is 20% with yellow.

I submitted my dependent documents for having special pass and renew the visa from 6 September. But I don’t know how to check the status? Also the visa expired in 20th Sep.
Could you please tell me how to be sure everything is alright?

I would like to know why my wife’s renew visa take too much time in immigration. From 30/10 until now, it is 80% and mine and my children are done very soon. Only my wife left?

My passport will expire in July 2019, and my visa will expire in 21 Nov 2018.
My question is: can I renew my student pass until July 2019, and try renew my passport in Malaysia?

It means It is less than one year of my passport expiration.
Also in UM form for renew pass has written (Passport must valid at least 12 months).

Thank you for your reply. But my university gave me the very sold “NO”. They said it is impossible to apply.
What should I do?
What about if I go back home and renew my passport within one week. How can I return? With my old passport with visa, or as a Tourist visa for one month?

Dear all,
I submitted my family passports from 9th Feb to university visa office, but until now it is “Pending submission of your Passport for the issuance of your Dependant Pass.”
Does it mean, the university hasn’t submitted to EMGS?

I asked them, they said maybe still the special pass is not issued, that is why they cannot submit the passport until receive the special pass?!!

Dear all,
Yesterday I received and email from my institution to pay for a special pass for my family. I am kindly asking you, do I need to pay special pass when my family dependent passes reached 45% and I submitted all documents and passports from 9th Feb. 2018? When their one month pass expired 23th Feb.

2-I applied for all 4my family member, only one of my child is 40% and the rest still are 20%.

5 days and still 90%. I hope it will be finish soon. I have to go back to my country and bring family.. almost 20 days in Malaysia.. 🙁

Why processing the Visa is too slow, getting US visa need only 2 days, UK was only 3 days. Both was not online. Why Malaysia visa for VAL almost 1 month, for getting visa almost 1 month? Walla that is too much

Dear EMGS,
I don’t need SEV, and my University received my Val from 20/10, I asked them they said we need time to process?!!
The problem is after all these time I have to wait in Malaysia for more than 2 weeks for visa again.
I don’t know when my VAL approved why should I wait all these days?

    Two hours ago I received my VAL by email.
    For now, the only what I scare is take my visa too long, because I only have two weeks permission from my current job.

My Visa status is 80% and I haven’t received the val (not eVal, because it was approved before 15/10)
Does it mean I have go there with only normal visa?

    No it’s not, your VAL should be @ visa unit of your institution. Contact them to email you the same.

contact with them may be the problem from your email you should contact with visa unit in your university
