You can submit the passport to your institution. The institution will proceed to submit the passport for the endorsement of your Dependent Pass.

Dear EMGS,
I really shocked today, when I received my kids passport and they renew the visa for only 3 months. When I asked they said because their insurance will be expired in Feb. It means It is less than one year of my passport expiration.
Also in UM form for renew pass has written (Passport must valid at least 12 months). -
Dear EMGS officer,
Thank you for your reply. But my university gave me the very sold “NO”. They said it is impossible to apply.
What should I do?
What about if I go back home and renew my passport within one week. How can I return? With my old passport with visa, or as a Tourist visa for one month?

I asked them, they said maybe still the special pass is not issued, that is why they cannot submit the passport until receive the special pass?!!

Hi,
Kindly be informed that the student is required to have a valid pass throughout the study or stay in Malaysia. Upon the completion of the study, the student is required to liaise with the Institution for the cancellation of the student pass before returning to the home country.
