Dear Sir/Madam,
I need help!
For visa renewal, we have to submit the insurance documents but my insurance will expire after 3 months, so they can’t renew my insurance not before 2 months. So can I apply for the student visa renewal with the existing insurance??

Kindly note that you purchased insurance under your institution. Therefore, it is best for you to liaise this matter with them.

Dear EMGS Officer,
My university submitted my passport (A01113037) to EMGS 11 days ago. The status is still showing ‘EMGS will send it to immigration for student pass. I’m requesting to take necessary steps, because it’s been already 14 days I entered Malaysia. I don’t want to receive any penalty for the late..

Your passport was submitted to the Immigration Department for the student pass endorsement process. Please allow the Immigration Department time to process your application. The Student Pass approval is at the sole discretion of the Immigration Department of Malaysia.

Dear EMGS,
Unfortunately, though my semester registration date on 26th September, my Single Entry Visa expiration date 17th August. Is it possible for me to enter Malaysia in August and stay with my uncle who lives in Putrajaya?

You must ensure to enter Malaysia within the validity of the Visa Approval Letter and the Single Entry Visa (SEV). However, it is not recommended to enter Malaysia before the registration date, as you are required to have a valid pass for the student pass endorsement process. Dear EMGS,
I have an inquiry- In my VAL application, the course duration of study is shown as 12 months which was fixed during the application process. But to complete my whole Master’s program it will take more than 12 months. What will be the procedure to extend the time?

At least 3 months before the end date you have to submit the paperwork to visa center in your university to do the necessary without the need to leave the country. But make sure your gpa for first year is ok.

The Institution may be required to submit supporting documentation or an explanation letter if the extension period you request exceeds the duration of the course you are studying. However, the final decision is solely subject to the discretion of the Immigration Department.
