Yes next month I have done the medical screening last week but am yet to get updates on my visa, at same time my school is closed due to EMCO

You need to wait for your institution to be open i believe since i assume that your campus is located on EMCO region but if your institutions already send to emgs for medical submission you require to submit your passport but there is nothing to worry since EMCO conducted

Dear EMGS how long are we to wait?
This thing is getting out of hand? It about 1year since I applied to study in Malaysia and in another 3months it will complete 1 year the Malaysia government lockdown the country border.

We understand your concern. However, at present, the Immigration Department is not processing any VAL for students out of Malaysia as entry for new students is still on hold. Therefore, we are unable to advise you on your expired VAL. Rest assured, we will revert back once we receive further instructions on this matter.

Luckily enough new students are on hold…. If your VAL expires during the travel ban, your Education Institution will be required to submit a request to EMGS to extend the validity of the eVAL issued to you.

EMGS will provide all the assistance required to international students whose eVALs expire during the MCO/travel ban period. Your Education Institution will be required to submit a request to EMGS to extend the validity of the eVAL issued to you.
