Dear Sir,
I am a PhD student in UPM. My Visa expires on 3rd Oct 2020. I am now in my home country. In case if I cannot enter in to Malaysia to do the renewal what you propose me as the best option. Will Malaysia allows me to enter using a social pass and then can I proceed with the renewal?

Hi Nirusha,
Based on the current process, the Malaysian Immigration Department will only allow you to renew your student pass if your current student pass expiry has not lapsed for more than 3 months. Students will be required to enter Malaysia on a social visit pass and subsequently obtain the renewed student pass.
