Ms. Sadaf. My current EVAL is expiring in May. If I do not enter Malaysia, could I apply for Eval extension to emgs?

You can apply through your institution. May be you need to initiate a new application on EMGS.

I am sorry to bother you. But please could you tell me could I bring my wife and kids with me in Malaysia on visit visa? How much time it take to get the visit visa from Pakistan. Thank you for your time.

Yes they can come but you can’t convert visa into dependent visa on visit visa they can’t stay more thn a month.

I’m facing same problem, in don’t want to leave my kids but first time they can’t join me actually we can’t apply for dependent pass untill we get our own student pass.

Yes previously they could convert it but have to pay rm 500 for the JOURNEY PERFORMED sticker after passport submision to the visa unit when u r converting it to dependent pass

how many working days u r waiting? it usually takes 7-10 working days.

At day 10th they asked for VDR new approval I got my EMGS approval in December I don’t know what they are asking for.

i dnt get it why they are asking for new approval. did u get the travel authorization letter and eval? u r a new student right?

I’m new student and I got both travel authorization and eval I attached all documents but they just wrote VDR new approval on visa form and returned to agent, now I sent him all documents again and he sent my passport again I don’t know whats going on, may be they are reluctant to issue visas due to increase in COVID case.

i dont know this cant be the reason because they would have officially announce something. i have also submitted my passport 4 working days before. Im from Bangladesh. I will update u if I get my SEV.

Ok thanks my colleague got SEV after 7 working days. she attached same documents. I defered my semester but my Institute told me that EMGS approval is valid for 6 months even if I defer my admission.

This grey area is still unsolved. We hope that we see new policies for students who cannot leave their children behind. I cannot imagine a mother leaving her infant and come along alone!!

Your own student pass will take roughly three weeks in Malaysia. After you get the sticker, you could apply for dependents. It is a long way to go unfortunately. What I think will be feasible is that you ask your university to start online classes for the time being until new SOPs apply to give exemptions to children.

You can email Malaysian consulate in Pakistan. Send them all the documents on email and they will give you an appointment to submit the documents. I got mine in 1 day after submitting my documents physically to them

If you the student has valid student pass then the university of the student can apply for dependent.

Hi Sadaf,
Please be informed that the Student Pass endorsement process takes 14 working days from the date we submit the Passport to the Immigration Department. However, the approval is solely at the discretion of the Immigration Department.
