Kindly note that the Special Pass application status will not reflect on the EMGS tracker and only the institute has access to view the Special Pass status. Hi emgs, I’m an international PhD student at UniKL. I want to bring my wife to Malaysia under dependent visa. For the marriage certificate, can it be attestated in Malaysian embassy in my country or it must be in the Nigerian embassy in Malaysia? Hi Fatokun Faith,
The marriage certificate must be attested by the Embassy in Malaysia and the date of the Embassy’s stamp must be within the current year. There is no stipulated time frame for the dependent pass process as it depends on the submission of the documents.

Since you are progressing to another course level, you can be in Malaysia during the processing of the application. However, you are required to shorten the current pass. Kindly refer to your institution for further details.
