Hi Bassam,
Regarding your dual nationality, please be advised that international students must maintain consistency with the passport used during the initial application and VAL issuance process. Using a second nationality/passport will require a new application or formal passport update procedures, which may cause further delays.
Kindly liaise with your institution for the amendment of the passport number on the EVAL. However, the approval is solely at the discretion of the Immigration Department. Kindly liaise with your institution for further assistance on this matter.

Dear EMGS,
When you say: “Using a second nationality/passport will require a new application or formal passport update procedures”, does this mean re-start my visa application from beginning with new application number, fees…etc?
Or it is just a matter of time liaising with the university until they send amendment/ eVAL correction request?

Hi Bassam,
You are required to cancel the current VAL and submit a new application using your second nationality passport. VAL corrections are not permitted for nationality amendments.
