1. You will have to pay for the sticker and medical insurance covering each previous year plus this year until January 1st 2023.

Even though I have never been to my university in Malaysia before ,I still have to pay for the sticker and the medical insurance?As per the EMGS website I quote:
“It is compulsory for every student entering Malaysia to have a medical insurance”But that’s when I enter Malaysia,which I never did for my university until this February.

In my case, I was asked to pay for every year even though I never went to Malaysia in 2021.

Yes they are expecting to open borders and tourism by 1st March

There is a proposal to reopen borders but nothing official so far. If the proposal is endorsed, the government should work out some SOPs.

Either way works. If you book directly you will need to upload the payment receipt to mytravel.

May I know how can I upload the payment receipt to mysafetravel?
I didn’t see this option on mysafetravel.-
I saw it there. It tells either you book through it or submit a proof of your booking.

Test taken on arrival at the airport , the 7th day test you will need to pay again .

For the 7th day test, do I pay them on spot in the hotel after the test is done?

Hi, it’s generally 7 days…but if you are detected “Positive” in the Malaysian airport then your quarantine period automatically becomes into 10 days quarantine…

7 days for quarantine
The 8th day is for your release.
*All hotels offer reservations on a night (not day) basis. Hotel booking night starts at around 3:00 PM on a given day and ends before 12:00 noon the second day.

Congratulations Fahim for the eval. Download it along with the travel authorisation, get your single entry visa, book the flight and apply for the quarantine at least ten days before the flight. Prepare the vaccination certificate and upload it to the mysajehetra application.

There are two options
1 Either book hotel through mysafetravel
2 Book directly from hotel. There are some hotels which provide quarantine package-
thank you, Hasan, but I don’t understand they ask me for guest details and address e.t.c as I have no relative there and will be staying in the university hostel could u please guide me? and another thing if I book the hotel through mysafetravel do those hotels have internet option or not?

About the guest you will need to put your details. I am also going to book directly. I am existing student. If you book from mysafetravel all those hotels in their panel have WiFi.

That’s better since you have hostel there. Sure no worries -
if you are approved to stay at Uni Hostel, Plz upload your hostel staying permission in “additional document” option during HQ application otherwise it will be rejected. Or you may book in QS hotel for getting HQ approval.

You will be able to choose a hotel of three levels of service. There is a hotel which is relatively cheap but does not have internet. As for me I booked at the Hotel Royal. It has internet.

Here is the information as I experienced it as an old student coming to Malaysia two weeks ago. Things might be different for students on home quarantine.

you can opt for home quarantine but need to apply at least 10 days before your flight.
They require your flight details, vaccine certificate, travel authorization as well as your rental contract.
Make sure you have a valid address at time of applying.-

no you don’t. as long as your student visa is still valid, all you need is negative pcr test, quarantine documents and book a pcr on mysafetravel or pay for pcr on arrival

Hi Annur Mostafa,
The student pass holder will have a multiple entry visa (MEV) which allows them to enter and exit Malaysia.
In addition, you are required to complete the pre-entry checklist before traveling to Malaysia.
