​Dear EMGS Team,
​I am a recent graduate from Universiti Malaya (UM). I recently processed my student visa cancellation and received my Check-Out Memo (COM) to leave Malaysia on July 30th. My original booked departure was with Turkish Airlines to Iraq.
​Unfortunately, Turkish Airlines cancelled my flight yesterday due to the current situation in the region.
​Could you please urgently clarify the following:
​Am I permitted to book a new flight ticket with a different airline and still depart Malaysia on my originally approved date of July 30th?
​Do I need to officially inform the UM Visa Unit and provide them with my new flight itinerary?
