I am an international PhD student currently enrolled at Universiti Kuala Lumpur (UniKL).
Due to the current regional situation and the uncertainty surrounding international flights, I am concerned that I may be unable to return to Malaysia before my Student Pass renewal is due.
Therefore, I would like to seek your advice regarding the available options:
1. Is it possible to renew my Student Pass while I am outside Malaysia due to the current exceptional circumstances?
2. If physical passport submission is required, would it be possible to submit my passport through the Embassy of Malaysia in Oman or via any other authorized channel?
3. If neither option is available, could you kindly advise me of any alternative procedures or special arrangements that EMGS or the Malaysian Immigration Department may offer under the current circumstances?
I would greatly appreciate your guidance, as I wish to maintain my student status and fully comply with all immigration requirements.
