While pursuing a PhD in education, you may consider applying for a lecturer position at a university. However, please note that international students in Malaysia are allowed to work part-time for a maximum of 20 hours per week only during semester breaks or holidays of more than 7 days. This work can be at restaurants, petrol kiosks, mini markets, and hotels, as long as your Student Pass remains valid. Prior approval from the Department of Immigration is required, and applications must be made through your educational institution.
