I am writing to formally express my serious concerns regarding the way this school ( SLC – Pusat Bahasa Istimewa) operates and treats international students.
At first, the school presents itself as professional and trustworthy. However, after enrolling, the reality becomes very different. International students are charged more than RM10,000 in fees, yet the quality of service and education does not reflect these extremely high costs.
One of the most concerning issues is the handling of students’ passports and visa processes. After students complete their payments, the school keeps their passports and appears to use them as leverage to demand additional payments before releasing the visa documents. This creates unnecessary pressure and stress for students who have already paid the required fees. Without the visa and passport, students are unable to proceed with essential matters such as opening a bank account or managing daily life legally and independently. Since international students are not allowed to work, this situation becomes even more difficult and financially stressful.
In addition, there are cameras installed in every classroom to monitor both students and teachers at all times. This creates an uncomfortable and overly controlled environment that negatively affects privacy and the overall learning atmosphere.
The educational quality itself is also extremely disappointing. This is not the fault of the teachers, but rather the poor management and organization by the school administration. Students with completely different language levels are placed together in the same classroom. As a result, teachers are forced to constantly switch between beginners and more advanced students during lessons. This prevents students from properly understanding the material and significantly reduces the effectiveness of the learning environment.
Overall, the school appears to prioritize money over the wellbeing, privacy, and education of its students. The management’s lack of organization, transparency, and professionalism creates an unfair and frustrating experience for international students who trusted the institution.
I hope this complaint will be taken seriously and investigated properly to prevent future students from experiencing the same problems.
