Hi @shayan1,
Kindly be informed that the eVAL is valid for 6 months. As such, the student is required to enter Malaysia with a valid eVAL and SEV. In the event an eVAL has expired, the institution or student will be required to apply a new application and obtain a new eVAL. Kindly note that the respective Education Institution must ensure the previous eVAL that was approved by the Malaysian Immigration Department is cancelled before the new application is made.

Thank you for your response and clarification regarding the eVAL validity.
As my previous eVAL has now expired, I kindly request your guidance on how to cancel the previous application and proceed with a new eVAL application based on my updated deferment status for the October intake.
Please let me know the steps I should follow, and if any documents are required from my side or from the University of Malaya.

@shayan1 The VAL cancellation has to be done through your respective institution. Kindly liaise with the institution and request that they submit the VAL cancellation application. The approval to cancel the VAL is solely at the discretion of the Immigration Department.
