Respective EMGS officer,
I had cancelled my current student pass in order to make way for the new student visa application since I’m changing course in my university. What is the time period for exiting Malaysia after the student pass has been cancelled in order to avoid any issues with immigration regarding overstaying in Malaysia? And is there an option of a special pass in hand since flights worldwide are getting blocked due to the rise of CoVID-19? Since I cannot travel back to my parents in UAE because of traveling restrictions imposed by the government for a period of two weeks.

  If you intend to exit you need to do so before the current pass expires. Normally applicants are required to hold a valid pass in order to exit. However, we advise that you contact your institution directly for further details.
