Dear EMGS Team,

I hope this message finds you well.

I am writing to inquire about the process of canceling my student visa in Malaysia. I plan to travel to Malaysia to complete the cancellation process, and I understand that I need to provide my passport and a return ticket as proof that I will be leaving the country.

Currently, I have a valid visa to stay in Indonesia, and I will be residing there after I leave Malaysia. My question is: As a citizen of the Russian Federation, can I provide a return ticket to Indonesia and also show my valid visa for Indonesia, or is it mandatory to provide a return ticket only to my home country, Russia?

I received information that I can leave Malaysia for another country as long as I have a valid visa to stay there, but I would like to confirm if this is acceptable for the visa cancellation process.

  Hi Zafar Ukrakov,
  All international students are required to provide a return flight ticket to their home country when cancelling their student visa. However, if you want to exit to another country, you may provide relevant supporting documents related to your request to the institution. Kindly note that the approval rests solely at the discretion of Immigration. You may liaise with your institute for further assistance.
