Dear EMGS officers
I’m making my plans to come to Malaysia as soon as I receive my Val…
My intake is in February but I wanna come to Malaysia as soon as early January and based on what I was told I’ve to go through my institution so that they can do the medical check up and continue with the visa application… The school told me that it will be better if I come mid February around the 19th…
My question is the following, will I have any issues with the immigration department if I come during the first week of January in order to get use to the weather as I was told it really hot over there ???

  No you can’t come to malaysia before 1-2 weeks before the intake date it must be written on your offer letter! So if your intake is on 25th feb you can come on 14,15,16,17,18 feb as the immigration counter on the airport gives you a pass for a month and it’s better you travel within feb near to your intake!

  It is advisable that you follow your institution’s advice, as you will risk overstaying your entry visa if the institution does not apply for an extension since your intake is around February.
