The Student Pass endorsement process takes approximately 14 working days. However, the approval is solely at the discretion of the Immigration Department.

I’m making my plans to come to Malaysia as soon as I receive my Val…
My intake is in February but I wanna come to Malaysia as soon as early January and based on what I was told I’ve to go through my institution so that they can do the medical check up and continue with the visa application… The school told me that it will be…[Read more]-
No you can’t come to malaysia before 1-2 weeks before the intake date it must be written on your offer letter! So if your intake is on 25th feb you can come on 14,15,16,17,18 feb as the immigration counter on the airport gives you a pass for a month and it’s better you travel within feb near to your intake!

It is advisable that you follow your institution’s advice, as you will risk overstaying your entry visa if the institution does not apply for an extension since your intake is around February.

I’m a Congolese national living in South Africa for a while…. So I’m not sure how the culture is that side

Hi Tresor,
A special pass is a temporary pass that is issued by the Immigration Department to allow foreign nationals to extend their stay in Malaysia due to ‘special’ circumstances. For example, making arrangements to exit Malaysia, pending approval of the student pass, or completing in-country immigration processes.
