Dear EMGS officers
The process of my Val is stucked due to a missing document which is my certificate of high school.I applied for it to be reprinted but it’s taking too long.
I’m already a university student in South Africa. And this is my second year of studying on a tertiary level.
Will my 1st year’s transcript help to resume the process or…[Read more] -

Hi Tresor,
There is no specific time-frame required for the application to progress to the next stage, from the current status. The application status will remain at 15% as the application documents are being vetted. We will update the status once the vetting process has been completed.

I’ve a missing document which is my certificate, if I can get an official letter from the department of education. Can you use it to continue with my visa application? Because waiting for my certificate to be reprinted will take long and I might not be able to come on time for my classes…

As you have yet to get your VAL and that takes around 3 weeks and your sons’ intake is on 18th then you have to give 7-8 to embassy for the sticker visa if you’re from the country where visa is required if not then you’re lucky you still have 2 weeks ask the institution that your sons’ profile has not been created

No you are not allowed to enter malaysia while your val is in processing

Hi Tresor,
Applicants are not encouraged to enter Malaysia on a Tourist Visa during the processing of their VAL applications, as the applications will be rejected by the Immigration Department. Kindly remain in your home country until the VAL is issued by the Immigration Department.

Starting from 24th July 2019 “Student Record Created” to 29th October 2019 “Application completed”, the total time spent is 3 months and five days. It might be a bit faster if you don’t face any pendings in your progress.

The processing of a VAL application takes 14 working days, provided that there are no additional documents required. However, the approval is solely at the discretion of the Immigration Department.

Please correct me if I am wrong, if I submitted all my documents I must count 14 working days for it to go from 0% to 70% in order for me to get a Val???
