We received your passport on 24 February. The student pass endorsement takes approximately 14 working days. To expedite the process, please liaise with your institution to submit supporting documents, along with a cover letter and your flight ticket. However, the approval is at the discretion of the Immigration Department.

You can only travel to Malaysia after the Immigration Department has issued the VAL. If you are from a visa-required country, you must obtain the single entry visa (SEV) once the VAL is issued.

We cannot guarantee that you will not face any issues, as approval to grant you entry is at the discretion of the Immigration Officers at the point of entry. You need to make sure that you have all the necessary documents required for you to enter Malaysia.

The VAL approval takes approximately 7-10 working days (excluding weekends and public holidays). Since the application was submitted on the 10th of February, today is the 9th working day. We will follow up if the VAL approval process exceeds 10 working days.
