Hi Youssef Andrif,
Once the documents are vetted by the EMGS officers, the documents will be sent to the Immigration Department for VAL approval. There is no exact time frame for the VAL approval and the approval is solely at the discretion of the Immigration Department.

Salam
I will travel to Malaysia with my wife and son. I bought a one-way ticket for all of us. An airline employee told me they would not let my family leave the country without a return ticket as they would enter Malaysia on a tourist visa.

yes for tourists need return ticket after you can refund the ticket while getting dependant pass visit now is only for one month

I will wait until tomorrow to see what my university and EMGS say/decide. Its hard for me to go to Morocco right now… 😐 i hope they can come up with a solution 🙏🏻 😖

Yes you need the sev anyway, I’m Moroccan too, I asked the embassy here that question, and I got this Email with documents I need to provide to get the sev in 7 working days:

Possibly there will be certain group of volunteers in your university to assist you. Try to maintain orientation period. That should be a good chance to be done everything nicely.

First try to manage accommodation before coming into Malaysia…if you haven’t managed yet…
Then upon your arrival do the post medical screening in any of the panel clinics… After doing the medical screening submit your passport to your University/institute…They will do the rest… you do not have to do any other official works.. -
Yousef I came to Malaysia less than a month ago I ll tell you what I did in details :
1- first thing you have to do is to contact international office at your university and let them know your flight and arrival time
2- They will help you with your post arrival medical check and it should be done in your first week , my advice do it the second…[Read more] -
Do not forget to buy a Malaysian sim card at the air port and bring some cash with you or credit card to pay for the personal bond .

I think emgs doesn’t know about sev issues

In the event, that you wish to change the Single Entry Visa to obtain place, you are required to liaise with the Institution to apply for the VAL amendment application. However, there is no stipulated time frame for the VAL amendment and the approval is solely at the discretion of the Immigration Department.
