The Student originating from Ethiopia does not require Single Entry Visa (SEV) to enter Malaysia.

I am Tesfaye from Ethiopia. I got an admission in Sunway University for PhD program. My EMGS reached 70% now. My questions are, I applied for visa last week electronically because there is no Malaysia embassy in Ethiopia. I paid the processing fee of 126RM via my friend in Hungury. This question is very important. EMGS officer should do well to address this. I am also submitting my documents for single entry visa and also on sponsorship with Malaysian ministry of education Grant. But I am still expected to provide bank statements. I surely cannot have assess to the ministry’s bank statements. I only have a support letter…[Read more]

So sad to hear this. But this what precisely they have done it with a student from Nageria, despite he won scholarship from Malaysia’ official uni but he had been asked to provide bank statement .
I am literally sorry-
So what shall I do? I already book Hotel and ticket, and take a study leave clearance from Ethiopia and the university also needs my travel to Malaysia soon!

Hiya as long as u have ur eval and immigration later u can start with the visa processing
Thanks! But my country, Ethiopia students didn’t required SEV list by Malaysia. I say no need of visa

If you are from a country that does not require the SEV you can proceed to arrange for your travel to Malaysia once obtained the EVAL. Kindly liaise with your Institution pertaining to the travel arrangement.
