Subject: Inquiry Regarding Course Change from Degree to Diploma Level
Dear EMGS Officer,
I hope this message finds you well. I am currently enrolled in the Bachelor of Computer Science (Hons) program at UOW Malaysia KDU. However, I have come to realize that this course is not aligned with my interests or career aspirations, and I find the content particularly challenging.
I am now interested in pursuing a Diploma in Early Childhood Education instead. Unfortunately, my institution has informed me that a change from a degree-level program to a diploma-level program is not permitted under EMGS guidelines.
I would like to kindly ask if there is any possible way to change my course. For example, would it be permissible for me to exit Malaysia and reapply for the June intake as a new international student for the diploma program?
I would greatly appreciate your guidance and clarification on this matter.

  Hi Syeda Sadaf Fathima,
  You are required to liaise with the institute regarding changing the course. In regard to the student visa approval, it will be subject to Immigration’s discretion. You may submit the application for us to process. Any updates will be notified accordingly.

    I was informed that EMGS does not allow changing from a degree to a diploma program. Could you please confirm if there’s absolutely no way to make this change, or if any alternatives are available?
