Maybe a letter from university can convince them to renew earlier for you.
For my country in some cases they accept to renew even if more than 1 year-

Hi,
For a new application, as per the Immigration Department requirement, the student must ensure to have a passport validity of at least 18 months.

The problem is here we can not ask for a new passport till it is still just 6 months validity, but my passport is more than 13 months validity, which means I have to wait for 7 months to ask for new one. What should I do then? I will be too late for study.

what is the reason for the refusal? usually they give a description of the shortcomings of the photo that need to be corrected (for example blurry and smiling)

I don’t follow that, the most important thing is the size fits and my photo is approved

I advise you to go to the photographer and show him the guidlines of the photo. Don’t edit it yourself

I did Go to photographer 3 times but every time they give me a printed photo 35*45mm but the file jpg with a very high resolution like 827*1017px
