If you log into safetravel, it will give you the option to register and book the hotel or submit a proof that you booked a hotel.

Yes but depends if u arrive late shop will close for sim card but u can use airport wifi as much as you can.

As for me, I did not see any shop there whatsoever. The arrival terminal is isolated from the rest of the airport.

i don’t think you’re allowed to leave the airport unless your layover is more than 24 hours. even then you definitely need to check with the relevant authorities since you need to quarantine regardless of whether you have a connecting flight since you want to exit the airport

Totally agree with you Mariam This is what I know. The confusion for Dua results from the word connected flight. Once a traveller has stamped their passport, any upcoming flight is a new trip not a connection. This means that any trip by plane afterwards must be made only after quarantine.

Ah I see. That’s what I was wondering. Whether or not I can leave the airport depending on my layover period.
So basically, I will need to quarantine once I land in KL even though I’ll be there for a couple of hours.

hi everyone, just reached kuala lumpur, i thought i’d share an update.
1) You can pay for PCR on arrival but only using a credit card or malaysian ringgit
2) As long as you have all your valid documents, you won’t have any trouble

just an update, anyone under surveillance is not allowed to use buses or trains. however u can use taxis, own car or family/friend’s car

universities were allowed to before the pandemic. i’m not sure if it is allowed now but my university has said they cannot do so. it’s best to contact your university for this as they can better guide you

I have just calculated the grab taxi fare from the airport to Johor UTM. The prices shows less than MYR300 which I think is more convenient than any other option and is indeed not expensive especially since this is your first time to come.

Check for two things:
1. The time for the connection flight should be comfortably ample to accommodate for your time that you will sepnd at the health covid test station.2. If your flight to Johor will depart from KLIA2, you will need transportation from KLIA1. There is usually a train but am not sure if it is currently in use, given the covid.…[Read more]

But i think people travelling from ksa are not allowed home quarantine. In that case you will have to do quarantine in KL hotel.

Hi, how long UTM took to approve your VAL application. Just asking cause mine is 5% for last few days. Need approval from uni.

About a week maybe. After it reached 35%, I had to submit accommodation details to EMGS, then less than 14 days later, I got eVAL

@ifrah_1, I’m in the same situation as you, indian but residing in Oman..may I know if more about how you got your HQA? I’ll be directly going to the University’s Residing Area for Students, so will it be allowed to be home quarantined there? May I know your id for discord? So we can discuss more freely?

We understand that you currently in Oman. However, you are still not allowed to enter Malaysia if :
1) Nationality of the banned countries.
2)Passport country of origin is from banned countries
3) Passport place issue is from banned countries

My application has been stuck at 32% since October.
I just wanted to know that since I am an Indian, which is included in the 23 countries ban, but I am a resident of Oman. I have been living in Oman for quite a long time now.

32% indicates that your documents are ready to be submitted to the Immigration Department. However, the Immigration Department is not issuing VAL for students who are outside of Malaysia. Rest assured, we will notify institutions and students once there are updates on this matter.

Pre- arrival form for which purpose?
For international students, after getting e-val, travel authorization and booking the ticket, we have to submit pre-arrival form. So for that my application is getting cancelled and they are not specifying the reason as well.
I know about that. I also submitted this to my University and university take cafd of it and at airport they just asked for hotel Qurantine, covid test at airport, at the end immigration. And 1st is to provide data in MySejahata Application.
