Dear EMGS..
I applied for deferment letter after my SEV and VAL expired and got my defermwnt letter from the institute today. They have mentioned to get a VDR before entering Malaysia for registration/enrolment.
Can you please let me know how to get VDR and how can i get a new VAL. View

Hi Sohail,
You are required to liaise with your institution and request that they cancel the current VAL. Once the VAL has been canceled, you need to apply for a new VAL application. Upon issuance of the VAL, you are required to proceed to the Malaysian Missions in your home country to apply for the SEV.

They have already applied to EMGS for the extension of my VAL as it expired because of Covid 19 pandemic. My passport number AV1289153 and am Pakistani. PhD in law from IIUM.
Please my status with you and the email in your system.
Will be thankful for this support.
@sohail_7 There is no record of any VAL extension request in our system. However, we are currently waiting for confirmation from the Immigration Department, with regard to the VAL extension procedure since new international students are not allowed entry into Malaysia. We will notify institutions and students once we have received the information.
