It means that all new and existing International students can enter except from the UK starting for 1st January . Campuses will reopen starting 1st of March .

Please note that entry for new students is still on hold. Furthermore, we are unable to advise with regards to your intake dates. You would have to refer to your institution to further advise you on this matter.

Hi,
New international students are currently not allowed entry into Malaysia. At the present moment, the Immigration Department is yet to confirm the process for students whose VALs expired during the travel ban. We will send out a bulletin once we have an update.

I wanna clarify about something
If I change just the mode of program from coursework to research but the program the same and the university too, then do I need to apply for a new VAL?

I feel relieved right now-
I would advise you to contact your EMGS and your university . There are a whole procedure you should follow if you want to change your program in the same university (for the same program different code is used for different mode). One thing I learned from my last month in Malaysia you do not want to assume anything here .

Hmm, it is the same program exactly but the mode changed to research mode, and I don’t have much time to apply for another VAL, I will start on 15 February while my VAL released since one week nearly, it was stuck for correction purpose since 27 September. -
And I have read that just if I change the program or the university that I need to apply for new VAL
What do you think?-
Better to send an email to EMGS and explain everything in details along with your passport number you could also call them .Unfortunately, I cant help you but I have seen ppl getting in so much trouble here for different reasons regrading their visa .

Since 19th October. No they didn’t say any reason behind the delay.
My classes will commence from 26th November. I don’t have much time and this is taking way too long.-

I just took a screenshot of the page in windowmalaysia.my with the problem mentioned and submitted it to the Embassy of Malaysia in Riyadh. I just attached a physical passport size photo along with my application.
I got my visa stamped within 2 days.-
Nethier me nor my university asked for this correction, its by EMGS

Its since 12 September, just I’ve paid for SST on 19 September, but nothing change after that

Mine was from August. Close to a month now. I do believe their system is undergoing some uncontrollable issues. Lets be a little patient till next week. The previous VAL i applied for that eventually expired didnt take this long to approve. Probably the traffic is too much for them and they werent prepared for such flow
