Good morning
I got an offer letter from upm University to study PhD. Now I have dependent visa with my daughter in Malaysia. My question is : can I register in the university with my dependent visa? Or I must cancel my dependent visa and apply for student visa? And when do I have to cancel my previous visa, before or after finishing my application for student visa?

  Hi Smaa,
  
  International students enrolling to study in Malaysia are required to apply for the Student Pass. As such, you are required to cancel the Dependent Pass before applying for the Student Pass.
