Hello EMGS Officer, I Sinthukan, Srilankan citizen applied for my eVAL last week (Saturday) but it says “waiting for the approval from institution”. How long it takes for eVAL to be ready? I’m a bit anxious about what’s happening as it’s been a week since I made my payment.

Hi Sinthukan,

The processing of a VAL application takes approximately 14 working days. However, the approval is solely at the discretion of the Immigration Department. Kindly liaise with your institution and request that they approve the application.

Hi, thank you for the information. But my visa is valid till 18th of July 2019. So, I need your advice if I’m going to apply for October intake, will I be able to extend my visa before applying for university or when should I apply for new visa/ renewing this visa? I need more clarification about this issue. Thanks in advance!

Your eVAL can be ready for download after 2-3 days from your approval date. Also it’s depends in your university too. Btw, you can get it as soon as possible and apply for Single entry visa. Then come to Malaysia. Congratulations!

Yeah. I’m joining to Sunway. And, you’ll get your eVAL when you’ve completed your payments to university and EMGS fees totally.
I’m traveling to Malaysia within 2 weeks.

You will get your eVAL soon. And then you’re EMGS will reach 70%. So, you can apply for your single entry visa in your country. Then you can make the arrangements to travel Malaysia when you get your Single entry visa.
