Anyone from universiti malaya… This is Shyam Venkatachalam (S2183639) from India. I have registered for my semester 2 and got an eVaL letter, Single Entry Visa (eVisa). So, I planned to come to Malaysia on 12th April – 4:50 AM – KLIA 1 (Main Terminal)(Malaysian time).
The EMGS portal, ensures me to notify the institution of the travel details and arrival dates and also ensures that the university representative should be ready to receive me otherwise the immigration won’t allow me without the institution representative being ready at the airport. I don’t get proper response from universiti malaya regarding this issue.
Anyone from universiti malaya kindly help me… Is it necessary or I can leave airport by myself?

  Hello, I’m UM student, no university representative is required. All you need to do is provide your visa and course documents to immigration for review.

  We recommend the Institution representative be present at the airport upon your arrival to Malaysia. Kindly contact the Institution for further assistance on this matter.

  I’m from UM, just bring all documents, send an email to visa unit to inform them, and everything will be fine 👍🏻

      No need to wait for a response, you just let them know.
      At that time I emailed my faculty and visa, only the faculty responded saying we wish you a safe flight and welcome to Malaysia.
