Renewal starts with the university. You can still go to Malaysia on an expired visa after three months of expiry. However, we need first to see light at the end of the tunnel. All of us are waiting for the van lifting so we can resume our studies.

I’ve been having this issue while trying to apply for the evisa. The portal tells me that the image it has collected from val authority is not according to specs and shows me an editor. Hi Shakil,
You can seek assistance from the e-visa contact centre department with regards to this matter. Alternatively, you can proceed to the Malaysian Embassy in your home country and apply for the Single Entry Visa (SEV).

The evisa contact centre asked me to ask emgs/ val issuer to upload/ change the current picture used and use a picture with a bit of white head room on top of my head for it to be acceptable. Please let me know if the process is available and what could I possibly do.

@shakilahammed We received and accepted the photo you submitted for the VAL application. We are unable to amend the photo. As such, we advise that you apply for the SEV instead.

As per my experience you may apply for local embassy, evisa causes issues for students, mainly evisa for tourists.

Applicants from Bangladesh can apply for either the SEV or eVisa. The decision is entirely up to you.

I’ve tried applying for the e-visa but the conditions are stated as the applicants who’s entering malay for the first time aren’t allowed to apply for the evisa instead they could apply for the regular visa. Kindly help me on this
