I have another year (2026) left to finish my degree. I renewed my passport recently and applied for the student pass because it’s expiring in March first week. Somehow, I’m confused if I should apply for the student visa too before I fly back to Malaysia. If so, how may I proceed?

  Kindly be informed that if you renewed the passport, once you enter Malaysia, the institution is required to do the transferring of your student visa from the old passport to the new passport. Once the transferring process has been completed, the institution may proceed to apply for renewal of the student visa using a new passport number. As such, kindly refer to the institution for further clarification regarding this matter.
