Hi as I’m new international student ( year 2021-22).
My enquiry is I got my Eval and travel authorization letter in December 2021 and it will expire in june 2022. But i got my SEV from my home country and its validity is till July 2022.

You should arrive before exact day of SEV validaty, my SEV was expire at 5/17 and i arrived to malaysia at 5/10.

Problem is not with SEV.
My question is whether they allow me or not if i travel with my eval and travel authorization letter expired.. i mean do i need to extend my Eval and travel authorization letter because it’s validity is till june and i don’t know exactly when I’m planning to come to Malaysia-
If you come after expiry of VAL, you will be imposed a penalty and you have to get a new VAL and then apply for Student etc… it means less of huge money and time… so come before expiry of VAL…

No, will not be an issue.

Theoretically, but would be better if both the papers are intact. You can renew eval via UM(AASC) THRU immigration.

My suggestion is not to wait for expiry and then renewal of eval.. it’s better you come with a valid val and SEV. Apply for student pass and then you are free with a multi entry option.
Renewing val is a big story, first you will have to cancel the current expired val, then apply for a new, then another SEV… choice is yours-

Even I have the same case, I am also from India and my SEV will expire next month. But I am planning to go in May after Ramadan.
I guess we can apply for sev or e-visa again after it expires since eVAL is valid anyways.-

You can re apply for SEV and I ask from my Embassy about this matter but this I am not sure they will give us easily SEV I also want to travel after Ramadan end.

You have to contact Malaysian embassy new delhi. They will give you better advice. But normally you have to be there before expiry.

There are two options
1 Either book hotel through mysafetravel
2 Book directly from hotel. There are some hotels which provide quarantine package-
thank you, Hasan, but I don’t understand they ask me for guest details and address e.t.c as I have no relative there and will be staying in the university hostel could u please guide me? and another thing if I book the hotel through mysafetravel do those hotels have internet option or not?

About the guest you will need to put your details. I am also going to book directly. I am existing student. If you book from mysafetravel all those hotels in their panel have WiFi.

That’s better since you have hostel there. Sure no worries -
if you are approved to stay at Uni Hostel, Plz upload your hostel staying permission in “additional document” option during HQ application otherwise it will be rejected. Or you may book in QS hotel for getting HQ approval.

You will be able to choose a hotel of three levels of service. There is a hotel which is relatively cheap but does not have internet. As for me I booked at the Hotel Royal. It has internet.

Not to my safe travel, you should apply home quarantine through home quarantine website, you can do home quarantine there but you need to be careful while filling options

You need rt pcr, sev, eval, ta, vaccine certificate, quarantine receipt, boarding pass and passport

Yes you need to undergo 7 days quarantine if you are fully vaccinated, it’s from health ministry not from university or emgs, you can do two types of quarantine 1. Home quarantine 2. Government quarantine, for both you need to apply prior.

Quarantine is in a hotel in Kuala Lumpur. You need to apply and pay the fees through the mysafetravel portal. Cost at Hotel Royal 2486. 50 plus 500 for covid tests.

I’m also a new international student ,but my status of visa is only 7% green . Even so , I surched your question but still not sure . I think after you get e-val , the next stype (VDR) should be done in embassy of malaysia . As for how long you can get e-val … 6 months maybe . I didn’t get information of e-VDR , so above is all .

Actually i recently got offer letter from universiti malaya for masters degree by research mode i registered myself online for semester but i don’t know whether the classes will be online or offline for this very course
