@sali_1 You are required to return to Malaysia within 3 months of your Student Pass expiry. The approval to renew your Student Pass is solely at the discretion of the Immigration Department.

@sali_1 Based on the current process, the Malaysian Immigration Department will only allow you to renew your student pass if your current student pass expiry has not lapsed for more than 3 months. You will be required to enter Malaysia on a social visit pass and subsequently obtain the renewed student pass.

Means if my visa expires on july i can still enter and renew it in three months period after the expiry date of my visa ( till october ).
Am i right?

Hi Sali,
Foreigners are currently not allowed entry into Malaysia. As such, the entry procedure for foreigners will be updated once the travel ban has been lifted by the Malaysian Government.

What I suppose to do if my student visa expires while i’m outside Malaysia? Should i enter as a tourist?

@sali_1 That’s correct. However, you need to refer to the Malaysian Embassy in Indonesia to apply for a Tourist Visa when your Student Pass expires whilst you are outside Malaysia.

I have contacted the Malaysian embassy in jakarta , they told me that i must have a long term stay in indonesia to be eligible to apply for visa, in case my student passe expired .-

I’m a student in Malaysia , holding a student visa that will expire on 20 july.
The airport had closed when i was in Indonesia, and now i’m here Waiting till the airports open then i could get back to Malaysia.

The Student Pass renewal process cannot be done at the Malaysian Embassy. You can only renew your Student Pass in Malaysia.
