Hi there,
I have completed my degree already and submitted my visa cancellation application on 12th of March. My passport is now with the immigration and my flight was supposed to be on 1st of April. However, it has just been cancelled and my country has gone under lockdown with no flights in or out of the country. My visa is expiring on 3rd of April and I’m not quite sure what to do now. I can’t go anywhere and it seems to be inevitable to overstay since my visa is either going to be cancelled or expired very soon. So what should I do ?

  We are sorry to hear about your predicament. However, it is advisable that you liaise with the governing authorities in your home country for further assistance with regard to the travel procedure. Once the cancellation has been completed, you will be required to exit to avoid overstaying. Kindly contact the relevant authorities in your home country to seek alternatives.

    I tried contacting them already but even they don’t seem to know what to do at the moment and they told me to apply for a special pass on first of April. But I’m not sure if I’d be able to given the fact that I’ve applied for cancellation..
