It’s barely an update. They very specifically haven’t mentioned how long it’ll take for evals to be issued, or if there’s been any internal change to how existing applications are being processed. Not much use telling us about the SOP when for all we know we could still be stuck until March. Or August. Or January 2022.

@SJ Its better to stfu and don’t spread your negativity when your reading comprehension is low. Obviously changes for eval applications are mentioned for institutions

Until they outright say “yes, immigration has resumed issuing evals”, our situation remains unchanged. Announcements of new bureaucratic procedures are worthless without details of when they’ll actually become relevant to us.

I’m not suggesting I have more knowledge than EMGS. The whole problem here is that none of us do. My point is that their bulletin is of very little use as long as it doesn’t clarify *when* we will be able to return, and I don’t think people should be satisfied until they let us know what’s going on with visa processing.

Even if they have the plan to open the border in March, they should start planning ”now”, the problem is that they wait till March and then start. That means we should wait at least 4-5 months!!!! Poor us that our time related to this damn country.

Um no , they have opened borders starting today . Rmco is extended until 31st March it has nothing to do with us . Read the news carefully please

The education minister said one month ago that universities would start opening in March before the announcement about 31 Dec. And it seems that’s true. Since They stuck in the middle of clarifying they don’t have any planning for January!!!!!!!

We are unable to confirm when new international students will be allowed entry into Malaysia, as the decision is solely at the discretion of the Immigration Department. We will notify institutions and students once we have the information.

1st of July , but foreigners can’t enter Malaysia

We are unable to provide you with a date as to when foreigners will be allowed entry into Malaysia, as the decision is solely at the discretion of the Malaysian Government.

Bro your institution will be required to submit your current Visa Approval Letter(eVAL) for an extension at the Immigration Department of Malaysia and wait for the new Visa Approval letter(eVAL) to be issued.
No immigration can’t extend your eval 2 times.
Hi Said,
At present, if your VAL was expired, your institution can submit a VAL extension application to entend the validity of your VAL. Upon approval, the VAL will be valid for 6 months. We are unable tto advise if the Immigration Department will accept the VAl extension application for the second time.
