I’ve heard that if you go as a tourist visa then at the airport (Malaysia immigration) they will cancel your VAL and let you as a Tourist, not as a Student visa.

Hi Riyaz,
We do not convert Tourist Visas to Student Pass. You are required to travel to Malaysia with the VAL and SEV in order for the Immigration Department to issue you with a Student Pass.
