Dear EMGS,

I hope this message finds you well.

I am writing to inform you of my current situation and seek your guidance. I recently left Malaysia with a temporary travel document as my passport was damaged. I obtained special permission for this document from Immigration in Putrajaya.

I am now in my home country to apply for a new passport. However, my student visa is set to expire on 6 January 2025, and I am unable to return to Malaysia before that date. My student visa application is currently at 50% progress in your system.

I would like to know if there will be any issues with my visa if I return to Malaysia with my new passport after the expiry date of my current visa. My passport number is A26895384.

Your advice on this matter would be greatly appreciated.

  Kindly be informed that in the event your student pass expired while you are at home country, you may enter to Malaysia within 3 months after your student visa expired. Kindly note, the decision is entirely under the discretion of the Malaysian Immigration Department. As such, kindly refer to the institution for further information regarding this matter.
