I saw the update on EMGSs facebook just now, that only existing students are allowed in again. Too bad that the recent covid clusters are now resulting into the old flow charts as seen on EMGSs facebook (where ‘new’ students were allowed in) of just a few weeks ago to be thrown out…

The striking question now is; I have been studying online for almost 3 months and waiting for my visa around 7 months now, how could I possibly still be considered a ‘new’ student 😂 Wouldn’t it be time to alter this definition with ‘existing’ students also waiting to come back to Malaysia in their respecting countries for months on end?

  I have been in Malaysia for nearly 5 years and I’m still classified as ‘ New student’ and I been paying rent since February. There definition of ‘new’ student needs to change

  If you do not have a Student Pass and are applying for a VAL, then you are still considered a new student.
