Hi Nurain,
Kindly note that the 3 months is counted from the date your current Student Pass expired. As such, you are required to return to Malaysia within the 3 months period of your Student Pass expiry. Please confirm if your current Student Pass has expired for more than 3 months.

@nurainal The 3 months starts from the 5th of March. You are required to enter Malaysia within 3 months from the expiry of your Student Pass.

I already sent an application at My university for an extension of student pass on 1/11/2019 to the EMGS before returning to my home country. The advanced application is already supported by your side and I only need to submit my passport for endorsement purposes upon my return to Malaysia. but due to travel restrictions, I cannot return…[Read more]

If I understand your question, your visa expires while you are outside Malaysia and that you already submitted a renewal. Right? If yes, then you can return to Malaysia within three months after the expiry of the visa.

In view of the increasing incidence of COVID-19 cases occurring throughout the country. I had a hard time making my way back to Malaysia for the purpose of renewing my expired student pass. Kindly note that the Student Pass should be renewed prior to the expiry. Since you are unable to return to Malaysia at the moment, we advise that you refer to your institution for further advice with regards to your Student Pass renewal.
