Please note that it will take approximately 14 working days to process your VAL application and it will take another 14 working days to process the issuance of your student pass. However, the approval is solely at the discretion of the Immigration Department.

Note that if you are in Malaysia to study a language course and you want to move into the bachelor degree program at a private university, you will have to exit the country and apply for the val.
