Dear EMGS, when I started my EMGS application I had 19 months validity remaining on my existing passport. By the time my appliaction reached 30% in February 2026, I had 17 months and 30 days left on my passport. I was asked to apply for a new passport which I have done. The new passport will arrive between 26 September to 26 October 2026. This is still during the validity if my current passport which is still valid until 15 August 2027. Please can you try and help me to continue processing my application. INTI University can provide you with proof of my applucation and official correpondence provided by my home country government authority. I have applied for a funded PhD and am concerned about losing the scholarship funding.

  We have noted your information. However, per immigration department regulations, we can only process a new student pass application if the passport is valid for 18 months or more.
  
  Currently, your application is on hold pending the submission of your new passport details. We advise you to contact the relevant authorities to expedite your passport renewal. Please note that if the required documents are not submitted within 90 days, your application will be closed. Once you receive your renewed passport, you may request your institution to submit an appeal to reopen your application.
