Dear EMGS Support Team,
I am writing to seek official advice regarding my student pass status and academic progression.
Current Status:
– Nationality: Pakistani
– Current Visa: Student Pass (Level 6 – Bachelor of Science)
– Background: I already hold a BBA in Finance from Pakistan. Due to previous administrative misguidance, I am currently enrolled in another Bachelor’s program in Malaysia.
Proposed Plan:
I intend to stop my current BSc program and immediately enroll in an MBA (Level 7) at a Malaysian university.
Questions:
1. Since I am moving from a Level 6 (BSc) to a Level 7 (Masters) qualification, does EMGS categorize this as a ‘Progression’ that allows for an in-country application?
2. Can I remain in Malaysia on a Special Pass while the new VAL for the MBA is being processed, or am I required to exit and apply via the ‘Variation’ (Outside Malaysia) pathway?
3. What are the specific document requirements from my current institution (e.g., Release Letter) to ensure a smooth transition without a Check-Out Memo?
I look forward to your guidance on the correct legal procedure to ensure I remain compliant with Malaysian Immigration regulations.
Thank you.
