The issuance of a Student Pass will take approximately 14 working days.
Please allow the Immigration Department time to process your application. The Student Pass approval is at the sole discretion of the Immigration Department. It is not advisable for you to make any travel arrangement before you receive your passport.

Yes, I am a masters student. I’ve been given the VAL and I’ve also received SEV from Nigeria which is valid for 3months and will be changed to a student visa by my institution when I get to Malaysia. The question now is, can I stay for 3 weeks more in my home country or 14days after collecting the SEV.

You’ll need to get an eligiy letter from the ministry of education at Abuja. Then you’ll authenticate your documents there. You’ll also authenticate your certificates at the ministry of foreign affairs with the NDLEA certificate…then you’ll process to the malaysia embassy at Abuja for to process the SEV.
