Hello EMGS, I am a current student and my visa has expired in August 2020 outside Malaysia. Do I have to apply for a new approval letter (VAL) to enter Malaysia?

Dear EMGS officer,
I am a current international student at UCSI University Malaysia, I am living in the USA as of right now. I am planning to come back to Malaysia for the upcoming semester Jan-2021. Will I be allowed to enter the country? If yes do I have to apply for the authorization form or will I have to wait for further updates?

  Hi Mohsen,
  
  Please note that USA is one of the 23 banned countries. Therefore, you will only be able to enter Malaysia once the travel ban has been lifted. Rest assured, we will provide an update once we receive further instructions from the relevant government agencies.
