Kindly note that you may apply for a Single Entry Visa (SEV) at the Malaysian Embassy in India. Alternatively, you may also apply for the eVISA via an online platform. You can refer to the Malaysian Immigration Department’s website for further clarification regarding the procedures to apply for the eVISA.

1. Is it mandatory to enter Malaysia through Kuala Lumpur International Airport and obtain an Entry Stamp from there only?
2. If I have E-Visa/SEV, can I enter Malaysia directly through Penang International Airport and obtain an Entry Stamp form there only instead of entering through KualaLumpur International Airport?

The eVAL and eVisa is valid at all authorized entry points, which include major international airports like Penang International Airport. However, it is advisable for a new international students to enter Malaysia via KLIA and KLIA 2 as the port of entry. Hi Affan,
Please be informed that the processing of a VAL application takes 14 working days from the date we receive the complete application documents and payment from the institution. However the approval to issue the VAL is solely at the discretion of the Immigration Department.
